Position: Volunteer Managing Director - Join Psych Care Uganda in Transforming Lives
Dear Prospective Volunteer,
Psych Care Uganda, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving mental health, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and career guidance among adolescents, is seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a Volunteer Managing Director. Role Overview:
As the Volunteer Managing Director, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic leadership, overseeing program implementation, and managing the organization's operations. One of the key responsibilities will be assisting in the registration process of Psych Care Uganda, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and establishing a strong foundation for our work.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.
Oversee the registration process of Psych Care Uganda, working closely with relevant authorities and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture that encourages growth and excellence.
Coordinate and oversee program implementation, monitoring progress, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.
Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to enhance the reach and impact of our programs.
Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor engagement, and resource mobilization, to sustain and expand our initiatives.
Ensure sound financial management and accountability, including budgeting, financial reporting, and transparency in financial operations.
Represent Psych Care Uganda in various forums, conferences, and networking events, advocating for the rights and well-being of adolescents.
Requirements:
Proven experience in nonprofit management, project management, or a leadership role, preferably in the healthcare, youth development, or social impact sector.
Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks for nonprofit organizations in Uganda, with experience in organizational registration processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive organizational growth, and achieve desired outcomes.
Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and manage a team of dedicated professionals and volunteers.
Understanding of mental health, SRHR, and career guidance issues facing adolescents in Uganda is desirable.
Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and resource mobilization.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, nonprofit management, public health, or social sciences, is preferred.
